Art for the Underdog

FAQ Your Guide to Getting Started

What role does Art for the Underdog play in all of this?

The purpose of Art for the Underdog is to match willing creative contributors with organizations that need their volunteer services. We’re simply playing match-maker! Our service facilitates that “match” in the simplest way possible through our beautifully-designed dashboard.

What can a creative professional or hobbyist expect after signing up?

After signing up for the service and verifying your email, you’ll be forwarded to your dashboard where you can browse open projects and click to indicate that you’re interested in hearing more. The non-profit organization associated with the respective project is notified via email of your interest. The ball is in their court to get the conversation started with you! It’s that simple! There’s no obligation until you both agree to work together.

What if I'm too busy to volunteer right now?

We get it! One day you might have time on your hands and the next you’ll be working like a dog! It’s ok if you can’t commit to a project when you’re busy. Just keep your log in information and check back in when you have time and want to do some good! There will always be projects to tackle!

What can a Non-profit expect after signing up?

After signing up for the service and verifying your email, we’ll contact you to send proof of your non-profit status. You’ll be forwarded to your dashboard where you can add details about a project that you need help with. Qualified creatives will indicate their interest and you’ll be notified via email to reach out to them to get the ball rolling. It’s that simple! There’s no obligation until you both agree to work together.

What types of projects will be listed in the app?

Projects vary in scope and topic. One organization might need help with writing a web page or social media post, another might need a t-shirt design, and yet another might need a logo or photo shoot. Creatives can choose a project based on their skill set and availability.

What about payment?

All services will be performed free-of-charge unless otherwise agreed upon by both entities.

Disputes.

Feathers sometimes get ruffled, but we hope they don’t because, you know, in the end it’s all about saving our furry friends! Art for the Underdog will not be responsible for, or take part in, disputes that may arise from either entities. If there’s a bone to pick, it’s the responsibility of the volunteer and non-profit to resolve them.

Do you need a contract?

Art for the Underdog is not responsible for the details about the work to be provided, including quantity, type, and timelines. Those details are the responsibility of the contributor and the non-profit organization and are best outlined in a written agreement between the entities. Art for the Underdog does not assume or provide those services.

Cancellation.

If at any time you want to permanently leave the service, you can do so by emailing us at info@artfortheunderdog.org.
